am a PhD student in the American Studies Department at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. My research is focused on the Kanaka Maoli (Native Hawaiian) community and digital media practices. I am currently working on a project funded by the Hawaiʻi Pae ʻĀina Pod of the Abundant Intelligences organization regarding the use of Kanaka Maoli protocols while on the Internet.
